Root canals have a bad reputation — and it’s totally unfair.

Root Canals
Root canals aren’t the villain. In fact, they’re what save your tooth from being lost.

If decay or trauma has reached the nerve, a root canal clears out the infection, relieves pain, and lets us rebuild the tooth from the inside out. Think of it as interior renovation for your smile — and when done well, it’s painless, precise, and powerful.
Inside Job: How We Save Your Tooth from the Inside Out.
When a cavity or crack gets too deep, the nerve inside the tooth can become infected or inflamed — that’s when you need a root canal. We clean out the inside of the tooth, disinfect the canals, and seal them to prevent reinfection. It’s not as dramatic as the movies make it seem; with good anesthesia and a calm, step-by-step approach, it’s often no more uncomfortable than getting a regular filling. Afterward, the tooth is usually restored with a crown or onlay to protect what’s left and bring back full function. I approach root canal treatment with precision, empathy, and the same biomimetic principles I apply to everything I do — preserving structure where possible and restoring what’s necessary with long-term stability in mind.
